The main aim of this paper is to examine the views of primary education teachers, in relation to both the prioritisation of the significance of specific factors related to the satisfaction of teachers, and to the determination of the degree of significance of the parameters that contribute to their motivation in their workplace, as well as in relation to the determination of the extent to which specific work factors contribute to their disappointment at work. The findings of this research point to the conclusion that the majority of respondents place the factors related to support on behalf of the school management, observance of the school's rules of operation, and the existence of an internal operating regulation as the top three priorities. In contrast, the existence of a written school development plan and social recognition rank last in the respondents' priority list.

Productivity is defined as the efficient and effective use of resources with minimum waste and effort to achieve outcome. We live in a world that has limited resources. The health care industry faces this limitation more than any other industry. With these challenges facing health care administrators, the concept of productivity, job satisfaction and motivation become very important. Employee satisfaction and retention have always been an important issue for physicians, medical centers and businesses in general. Conventional human resources theories, developed some 50 years ago by Maslow and Herzberg, suggest that satisfied employees tend to be more productive, creative and committed to their employers.

Recent national and international studies carried out in a number of countries have drawn attention to the degree of job satisfaction among teachers. In general, it has been found that context seems to be the most powerful predictor of overall satisfaction. However, given that most of the international studies on teacher satisfaction have been conducted in developed countries, one realizes the need in the available literature for similar research in developing countries as well. This paper examines job satisfaction and motivation among teachers in Cyprus — a small developing country in the Eastern Mediterranean.

Job satisfaction is very essential to the continuing growth of educational systems around the world and actually nowadays teachers have a very crucial role in the success or failure of each educational system. The present study investigated different job satisfaction and dissatisfaction factors among Malaysian English language teachers. The study is a survey research which has 35 English teachers as its participants. Descriptive analysis method was used to have sum of values, mean and standard deviation for each factor.

We explore an avalanche of job satisfaction theories and instruments to identify key concepts and variables in building a baseline conceptual and research model. The findings of the study suggest that income, personal growth, bonus and organizational type have both effects direct and indirect on job satisfaction. The two-way analysis as well as the multivariate analysis of variance also indicates that gender, age group, and educational background also play a role in determining the level of satisfaction among teachers.
